Renting the truck seems to be out of the question.

You're in PA, reasonably close to the RV manufacturers. Many manufacturers and dealers have a "fleet" of drivers on call to haul RVs. Bigger rigs are often towed from the manufacturer to the dealer....or the purchaser in the case of internet sales.

If you call local dealers and ask if they have an incoming delivery, you may be able to "borrow" one these pros who'll be eager to pickup some extra cash before making the trip back to the factory.

I am about 3 hours away. I can move it for you as long as RV is in good shape. You can ride in the truck with me.
Nothing personal but I don’t think I would let my friends pull with my truck. Too many things can go wrong and I know how I want my truck operated motor and transmission wise.
But it will have to be done Monday or before.

As kind of an offer as I’ve heard.

If you chose other route. Call this guy. He runs an Airways Airfreight co. He is as nice and kind as I ever spoke to. Tell him Chetty told you about him.

I am not sure of everything he does, but he has NEVER let me down. He can refer if he does not do it. True story...these guys aren’t cheap and charge “by the minute”.
If this helps perspective. I can get a truck for hot shot for about $1000 app 350 miles.

Wonder if the OP got the feeling he should hire a transport service to move the 5th wheel? I get the feeling that the OP just doesn't want to pay a professional to move the RV to save a few bucks.

If you are near a dealer, phone them and tell them you need a FW moved and they possibly can or may have some people they know who will move them on the side for a few $$. We did that once and for a hundred bucks or so (it was years ago and can't recall exact cost) a guy came out with a dually and picked it up across town and dropped it off on our property.

Slight hijack, but I was at a car show yesterday and saw a U-Haul F150 pulling a 24' enclosed car hauler. After he parked, the back door opened up and a Chevrolet pickup backed out of the hauler. The hitch and drawbar was almost dragging the ground.
I wonder if U-Haul approved of that tow? Do U-Haul pickups have a trailer brake controller?
I am pretty sure those U-Haul F150's only have the base 3.3 NA V6..no Eco-Boost.
I took a photo of it, I'll see if I can figure out how to post it.

Interesting on U-Haul F-150 towing a pick up truck.

Most rental companies will not approve towing with 1500's or 150's.
They will usually recommend you upgrade to a 2500 or 250 for towing.
The catch is they charge extra above and beyond truck rental for you to have the ability to tow with their truck.

Of course if you Do Not tell them you are towing with a 1500 or 150, then good luck, but don't get into any trouble, like an accident. They will claim info of "No Towing" was in contract and they are no liable for damage or repairs, you are.

Yea, I can't fathom pulling that without trailer brakes.
I actually spoke briefly with the F150/Chevy pickup driver..his elevator didn't reach the top floor. There was no reason why he simply could not drive the Chevy truck to the car show.

Back in the day U-Haul bought so many Ford trucks that they had Ford put industrial engines in them that were not available to the general public. Not sure about now.

Ask the party you are purchasing from to deliver it to you as part of the deal.

Search on line for a RV delivery service the ones the dealers contract with. or go to eBay in the traveler trailer listing and scan down to the area where they list transportation or unit delivery services.
Get a quote, these guys have 5th wheel hitches to move that rig for you
Hope this helps
