100% correct. Best place is a trunk, if not available, then in the back seat on passenger side (furthest away from driver)... it must be out of reach of driver if it is an open container (bottle of vodka for example).

In a motorhome, just put it in a cabinet.. as long as it is out of reach of the driver, you are all set.

All good answers. Use common sense.

Or drive up to a sheriff while intoxicated like our former neighbor. We were reporting her for hit and run and the sheriff was taking our report when she drove back to her house with no headlights and didn't even acknowledge the sheriff as he was standing by watching her

I don't drink and drive! Had motorhomes since 1993 and have never had an issue. Keep it in the "pantry" and enjoy your trip!!!

Jerry, each state laws will be different but in NC alcohol can be consumed in the passenger area of a vehicle as long as the driver and the passengers are seperated by a partition. No opened containers ( nothing with original seal can be busted on) is allowed in drivers area. You would be ok in your truck with a case of beer inside the original package if all 24 are present and the box has not been opened. So....if your RV has something to seperate the 2 areas close it and no problem. If it does not make sure they are sealed. Put the whole case in the fridge in the original unopened container.

Most state laws are like this one.
