I have been up to my elbows in grease all day working on the Chevelle. I got the new trany w/brake in, pulled the entire rear diff (housing and all) changed out gears to 4.30, got rid of the Auburn posi unit and installed a spool, installed C-clip elimiators and 40 spline axles, new Edelbrock upper and lower control arms, and reinstalled the rear diff. Tomorrow I will install my new molly drive shaft, and install 3.5" exaust cut outs, fill everything with oil and go out and annoy the local constabulary while I break every thing in in preporation for the race next weekend.
Cheers

I am here in Michigan where it is about 61 degrees today awaiting
delivery of our camper. So I am spending some valuable time packing
up some food. Making up first aid kits, shower kits, ect...

Some fishing is starting to sound really good!

Sounds great! Exciting getting a new rig isn't it? Remember to double-check tire pressure and wheel lug torque to specs. Most come under inflated and torqued. After about the 1st 50 miles check the lug torque again. After that then you only need to check before each trip. Under inflated tires are a recipe for disater, heat will build up and a blow out is VERY likely.

Enjoy your outing and let us know how it goes!

I can relate because part of the 940 miles we rode was in the rain going to and from Thunder Beach. The weather was perfect while we were there at the rally and we had an awesome time......

You know, one of these days I'm gonna have to just hop on my scoot and ride for more than 200 miles at a stretch. My problem is my bad back making my right leg go numb after about 50 so I've gotta get off and walk around. Course that happens while in the car or truck too but in those I can stretch a bit easier.

Glad you had a good time. Any pics for the either site?

Hey it's Canada, we're all about the queens! And with a 42 foot TT and a minivan for a tow vehicle, getting pulled over by the mounties is pretty much a foregone conclusion!

No, it's the official launch weekend at the campground. Weekend after the one coming, I don't know if that coincides with your Memorial Day weekend or not.

Our Memorial Day is a week later, the 28th.

Well, it's morning again. Another night of rain. Anymore and my house might float away.

Gotta make a day trip to Houston tomorrow so I probably won't be on tomorrow until MAYBE the evening if I feel like turning the blasted computer on.

Ya'll have a good'n!!
