Which Black Tank Flush System is Used?

I'm pretty sure I asked this question here before, but received no replies:

What type/brand of flush system does Forest River install on our black tanks? There are so many different brands and styles that work with varying degrees of effectiveness and I would just like to know how my flush system works.

Does anybody know?

Bruce

This has been posted a few times and shows a typical cleanout install. I believe all the installs by FR are similar though from different manufacturers. As to the routing, that could be different, probably even amongst identical units. This particular install is in my GT 378 MH (my check valve is in the washer/dryer closet) and it was part of my delivered documentation package. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for that, bubbles. I have seen that picture pop up here a couple of times, but never thought to enlarge it and discover the name of it.

I am searching the web for "Weld-A-Flush" now to see if I can find out anything about it.

Just to be sure I'm reading this figure right, this suggests that the black tank flush nozzle inside the tank on my Windjammer (OEM) should be near the top of the tank on a sidewall, right? And probably on the side nearest the fill inlet? I suspect it is not working as well as it did originally (only because the "spray" just doesn't sound as loud when running the black tank flush) and I have purchased a wand to try to wash the tank interior and hopefully the flush nozzle to get the black tank flush (and maybe even my sensors) working again. I'm not too worried, as I actually believe my tank is in good shape and dumping well (based on clear elbow observations), but I am puzzled why the flush sounds like it has a silencer on it (I formerly heard the spray hitting the plastic tank walls more loudly...I suppose it is possible my hearing is just slipping).

Sadly, for too many of us hearing may not be much better than the OEM China Bombs from FR.

Our unit has been sitting without being used for two months. Suddenly the tanks read empty. The I flushed the toilet and washed my hands. Now it says grey is 1/3 full and Black is half. Those sensors must be affected by just humidity in the formerly bone dry tanks.

Guess I will flush them full with soapy water this weekend. And see what comes out.

Your plastic vent/bf preventer may be starting to malfunction. Remove it completely and get a new brass one from Lowes/HD and install it at the back side of the inlet hose and eliminate all the excess hose.

Thanks, OC. I'll see if I can find it, then give that a try.

Yeah, Tom, but at least my OEM hearing lasted nearly 50 years before it started to backslide appreciably! I've learned to adapt, though, and try to see the donut, rather than the hole. For example, every time my DW complains about a squeaking door or floor, I have learned to consider it a plus that I can't really hear it. For the record, I said "it", not "her".

Let us know if you determine that our black tank sensors actually perform better as humidity sensors. Maybe we can re-sell them on eBay as such!

To Tom48.
My experience, IMHO, is that the black tank flush system is nice, but, if you really want to be sure it is clean, I would use a black tank cleaning wand on the end of a garden hose. It doesn't have to be done often but, again IMHO, it is the surest way of removing stray particles off the black tank level sensors.

On a factory mounted flush system, has anyone seen the business end to know the direction in which the water is sprayed?

Bruce, I think I've got a B&B system on my 2015 Forester. Both of my water inlets (city and black tank flush) have B&B inlets on them. I found this info about B&B:
