Who has dealt with RV Wholesalers???

Here is the deal. Finally narrowed down to the 365 SAQ Sandpiper. Local dealer is at $38,665.38. RV Wholesalers are at $35,800.00 Both prices are out the door. Local dealer is about 7 miles away. RV Wholesalers is around 450 miles one way. $2865,38 difference in price. 900 total miles to pick up camper. I figure around $ 500.00 to go get. Thats a $2365.38 difference for the same camper. I have talked to the salesperson and finance dept. and both seem to be very helpful. They have answered many questions and have been very patient with us so far. Local dealers have told us "horror" stories about these "bug time wholesalers". If you have delt with RV wholesalers chime in and let me know how your experience went. I would appreciate it.

The only thing I would check on is if you local dealer is going to give you any fast service if not bought from them. A 900 mile round trip twice for service would SUCK!!!!!!!!!!

RV Wholesalers has a "network" of service providers that actually my local RV fix it shop is on just in case something does go wrong. Local dealer has already told me if I buy somewhere else they will let it set for a long time before working on it. One of the reasons I don't want to really buy from them. They say their service is the best then charge you $3000.00 higher. If I pay 3000 more to buy local then I feel that I purchased that service its not free. Thats one of the deicisions I have to make. That why i'm wanting to hear from people that have experience with their service.

just curious was it the salesman who told you it would just sit in service? if it was, call back and ask the service manager how they handle repairs on units they didn't sell or find another dealer close to you.

Have you tried a local credit union for your financing? Our dealer couldn't come remotely close to the deal I got from our local credit union. I mean, they were MILES apart. Never hurts to check. We were considering buying from RV Wholesaler, but our local dealer actually came in pretty close to what RV Wholesalers did and we didn't have to go and pick it up. Do a search on these forums for other stories. There is one that comes to mind about someone from Florida and the horror story he shared.

Next dealer is in Winston Salem N.C. Went over and visited him last Saturday. His price is $39,800 and has a 199.00 fee plus another 399.00 fee making the total price at $ 40,398.00 with no haggling. Thats $4,598.00 more than RV wholesaler and they don't have the service network. Everything has to taken back to him. It was the Salesman and Service manager that told me that they would work on it but it wouldn't be a priority. And that they have let them set back there before. I'm not opposed to buying from my local dealer at all.

Wow...we had none of those fees. Any dealer who charges for a PDI, is, in my opinion, kind of shady. This is their JOB. I'd be inclined to find another dealer. Please SHARE who this dealer is.

I'm not here to bash that dealer. I'm just relaying what his deal was compared to RV Wholesalers. My local dealer has a PdI bill that is $199 dollars also. He told me that ALL dealers charge this fee. Seems like I was told this by the Local Honda dealership when looking for my wife's Odyssey. I bought the Odyssey in another city also. Saved 3800.00 on that deal. Thing is some people have the money to just come in and drop on a camper. They don't want to haggle or look for a better deal. They just want to get it and get gone. I don't have the funds to just buy and not shop around. I want the best deal i can get. As far as the dealer if you type in 365 Saq sandpiper in Winston Salem, their website should come up. Again not bashing this dealer. They took their time and showed me the camper and talked about the different ways we could do the financing to suit me. Also they would let me keep it over there for a few extra weeks until I get my driveway widened to fit it. They have answered many questions. And they had the only 365 SAQ I have ever been in. Local dealer don't even stock them. They did advertise their price and didn't tell me about the extra fees until I got over there. And I was surprised to learn that they would not haggle $1 on price. It was this is what it is take it or leave it so I left. Honestly I told my wife when walking inside after seeing the camper if he would come down $2500 we would buy it right then. Boy I am glad he didn't take the offer! I would have paid way to much and he would have been my only place to get warranty issues fixed. Going over that mountain and back in N.C. would get old in a hurry with a 13 thousand pound camper.
