Never really thought of it for FRF, though there have been a few recently and it's been nice reading through them.
Either my link to your blog is broken or you haven't posted anything since May.

Sad but true. Been crazy busy. I've written a post, but now have to get photos into it.

I figure a lot of people don't share because they feel some of the pictures are personal and not of "national" interest to others. I very much enjoy the pics I see on here and other places. I figure most(nearly all) places I will never see therefore I value others experiences. I AM GOING TO COLORADO AND MONTANA some day. It is my adult fantasy trip and the real reason I wanted an RV. I now see many other places, but this goes back 20-25 years.

The main reason I started this thread is because just about every RV forum on the Internet is nothing but questions and complaints. I just like to read threads about enjoying the RV lifestyle. With all the questions and complaints on the Internet, a newbie would probably wonder why anyone buys an RV. When I first joined the Trailer Life RV forum in 2002, a lot of folks would start threads about their travels. Now itís rare for RVers to post about the enjoyment of RVing.

The other reason I enjoy reading threads about RV trips is the fact that my wife and I donít have any long trips planned this year. We somehow allowed ourselves to commit to way too many non-RV related events this year. I have the need to live vicariously through others this year.

Oakman:
Books, journals, articles could be written about FRF member's trips...the FRF is a great way to learn about awesome CGs to visit...e.g. if aceinspp hadn't written about their exciting experiences at James Island CG Charleston SC, DW and I most likely could have missed out on a very successful first long haul trip this Spring.
SO...we just returned from 3 weeks in Maine and discovered a great CG "The Pumpkin Patch RV Resort" in Hermon, ME. the sites are spacious, very clean facilities, quite, awesome owners, great neighbors, many good restaurants are close by, the Bangor Waterfront with the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion is 20 minutes away, UMaine Botanical Gardens 30 min away, trips to Eastport, Moosehead area, Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Castine are all comfortable day trips. Four miles off I95 at Ex180...and you go right passed Dysart's Truck Stop and Restaurant gas/diesel and homemade local food.
Give it a try next time y'all are headed for Maine.

Happy Trails

You should go to the Forrest River Lifestyle page and start a thread.

X2 I get what you are saying.

I have always wanted to do that with pictures. Every time it came down to it, I thought that I have not gone anywhere special or my site is not worthy.

I have seen postcard photos here and where I have been just does not seem worthy. We have decided (I) that we are going to start taking trips outside of my newbie comfort zone.

Perhaps I will get the DW to chronicle our trips with photos and while she is making memories with the grandkids, I can get stuff done.
