We recently bought our 2016 Clipper 17FQ because some good friends of ours have a 5th wheel and wanted us to join them on their many outings.

Once I started to coordinate reservations I was surprised how many of the places they stay at had minimum length restrictions that we didn't meet.

They usually use "age of unit" restriction because it is politically incorrect to say "jerks and asses need not apply"!!!!
From the other side of the opinion pool: we have a new Class A and there have been times where we pull into a campground that was filled with mostly 5ers and TTs and we were treated like the plague because they are expecting us to be the "polo wearing, wine drinking asses" just based on the age and type of our RV.
Moral is: don't judge ANY book by its cover! Meet people with no pre-expectations and go from there. Anyone can act like an ass, no matter how much money they have in their pocket at the time!
As far as CGs with "RV age restrictions". The truth is some parks use that as a way to charge more for the campsite. In those cases the park is usually overpriced and struggling to maintain their park. We don't stay in those parks because in the big scheme of things even though our class A MH is new, it isn't a Prevost so sometimes the price of your RV is what the other MH owners in the park judge you by.
So discrimination has no dollar limit. The only thing you can do is be nice to everyone and let God sort out the rest.

RKNOLA, your "moral is" reminds me of a story. I was assistant manager at a pawn shop and this guy parked out front with an beat up pickup. He entered the shop wearing bib overalls. The shop owner had already made up his mind about this guy.

Well, I showed this guy some nice jewelry pieces for his wife's Christmas gifts. He asked if we could do better on prices if he bought several pieces. That triggered the owner's a fit of rage, and without further ado, the shop owner ordered him out of the store, never to return.

A few days later, the guy returned when the owner was out. The guy asked if I knew who he was. Yes I did. I knew he was a real estate investor worth millions. The guy said, I would have paid the price, but I thought I would ask. Your boss is a real jerk. The boss's wife (co-owner) smiled and nodded. He bought the jewelry and left.
