Question wifi or radio antenna

Hello all!
quick question. Wife and I have our favorite camp ground but there are no radio stations, no phone signal strength for hot spot and the sites wireless router is not very strong.
all we want to do is stream music without having to play mp3 songs from an old list.
any ideas to be able to stream music???

How about getting out and enjoying the outside. If you just wanted to sit around and listen to music, you could've stayed home and done that.

Cell tower and campground wifi are probably your only options for streaming other than satellite radio. You might look into a cell booster or wifi booster if either are not too far away. Streaming on campground wifi may be frowned upon if it uses a lot of bandwidth though.

I think this is likely the only option if the campground wifi is crappy and there's no cell service.

I love these threads where people post about how others should "camp".

I take the sat radio out of the truck and with the extra antenna (not attached to the truck) I just plug it into my TT sound system and have music or news. The only down side is monthly fee.

Do like I do bring an old fashion cd/tape player with batteries.
That's how we do it on the beach

Doug, didn't you already say more than once that you don't "camp"?

I tell people now that I go RV'ing rather than camping. If I tell them I go camping with my setup they tell me "that's not really camping". Just easier for me that way

Music

Mp3 player with SD cards plugged into Aux of sound system. Has pretty much all the music I own. Just in case I don't want that music, sat radio for news, sports or anything else.

Better yet, don't assume your values and likes are the same as what everyone else should have. If you can't offer specific help to the question asked, please move on.

Its not about telling people how they should camp it is about people intruding on my right to camp without music blaring. I like music as much as the next guy but I just plain don't want to hear it while camping. Same with bright lights. I enjoy the darkness and the stars. Others must be afraid of the dark considering all the super bright LED awning lights, etc. that are now popular. Trouble is there is no way to contain sound or light into just your site.

You might be interested in the new Western digital device. With Plex you can stream your own music collection once you copy the music over.

You have got a right to say it and we have a right to say that's overboard.

Exactly. I like music when I camp and my wife likes her lights. We're careful not to play it too loud and careful not to blind the campers next door. Everybody has their likes and dislikes.

But what does that have to do with the original post?

Really? The OP asked advise on how to stream music, not YOUR opinion of what you consider camping. Did you remove the radio and TV from your trailer?
We all enjoy different styles of camping, but the key is to get out in the trailer and have a good time.

Hold on Folks.

The OP asked a good question.

I camp in Provincial Parks where the site are huge and you can not see your neighbour. No WiFi. I either use Satellite audio channels on Shawdirect. I also have a separate Sirius receiver mounted in my Trailer. No rocket hub charges.

I too like music, doesn't need to be blaring. The sub woofer adds to the outside as well. Nothing better than listening to Kasey Kasem Top 40 from 1972 in that same park I camped as a kid where we listened to the same music from CKLW the Big 8.
