We have the Heritage Glen 282RK as well. We towed it the first year (it's a 2014) with a 2010 Ram 1/2 ton crew cab 5.7 Hemi 3.55 axle. We went out to Az., and found ourselves watching engine & transmission oil temps constantly in the mountains of Az. The truck was okay in the flatlands, but was maxed out in the hills. We bought a Chevy 2500HD (gas) in 2015, and it is now a pleasure towing. Trans temps never go over 195 degrees in the mountains, and it maintains 60 MPH up all grades. (The Ram would only do 45 MPH on the steep grades.) If you ever intend on going bigger, think about a diesel, but the 3/4 ton gasser will be fine for your current TT. Chevy, Ford or Ram would work just fine for the trailer. It's just a matter of personal choice. Hope this helps...
