Will Sierra dealers perform warranty work on Sandpiper fifth wheels?

If a dealer is a Sierra fifth wheel dealer, but not Sandpiper - will they be able to do warranty work on Sandpiper models?

Thanks.

Not likely....it's even difficult to get...say...a Rockwood dealer to do warranty work on a Rockwood, if they didn't sell you the unit...it's a real pain in the know you what, and one that the manufacturers should really get a handle on....it should be like the auto industry...bring a GM/Ford/Honda..whatever to a like dealer and they are happy to do the work and charge it to the manufacturer.

It would depend in great part as to the warranty work you were looking at having done. If you are talking appliances such as a/c, heat, toilet and such any dealer who works on that brand of appliance can handle your warranty work.

If you are talking the structure which would be directly related to the manufacture of the RV then you are going to be at the mercy of the individual dealership you approach.

Most of the time it doesn't matter if you take a Sierra to a Sierra dealer that you didn't buy from, many will refuse your work or put you at the bottom of list, which means you wait. If an FR dealer is willing to do the work, it really doesn't matter the brand, (they are all built the same basic way, aside from MH), as long as it's FR.

Depends on what the work is & the dealer. Only way to know is to ask. Our dealer would but they are slow as they only have one mechanic in the off season & 2 in the summer. There are 2 sales people that also help out with the shop work when it is slow or on bigger jobs. (roof replacement, slide rebuilding, front cap replacement). I have been going there for years & when I had something minor with warranty work or not they have fixed it while I was there. The beauty of buying from a smaller local dealer.

Also as mentioned if you did not buy it there you will probably be put at the bottom of the list.

Good Luck
