Winding Down the Season

For those of you who live in the midwest....we have about another solid month to a month and a half before the real cold sets in. I think I actually enjoy this time of the year more than any other. There is something about the early sunsets, leaves falling and chilly nights. We currently have 5 nights booked for october....looking forward to the fun.
Its been a good first season as a new Rv'er. I have many of you to thank for that. My family thanks you as well! The info here has been overwelming and there is a lot of people willing to help. Already getting sad to see the camper get packed up for winter

We have two trips planned before we have to call it quits before the cold weather sets in. Other than a few problems, it has been a good year. I am looking forward to our last few days.

Don't know about winding down as we have three more long trips before end of December, but I'll certainly agree that this time of year sure beats the summer doldrums.

Glad the heat and humidity are gone, at least for now. Trees are getting very colorful here in Wisconsin.

Heck we were done Labor Day weekend. Winterized two weeks ago. With college football starting we were ready to switch gears. We made it out for ten trips with our new toy hauler. We should have gone on a couple more though. Maybe next year.

That's one of my favorite parts of camping this time of year! Set up the tv outside and watch college football all day Saturday and Saturday night.

Here in Southeast PA, most of the CG close at the end of October / Nov 1st, and we are still booked for two trips this month with the popup. Glad I opted for the LP furnace!

Up north we have already put the fifth up on blocks and put her to bed.
Usually we tend to keep the rig available, and last weekend would have been great for one last trip, but we had work to do.
But, considering they are talking about a big snowstorm for the northern plains, I am glad the rig is inside, nice and warm and dry.
