Windjammer "D" Rated tires

Just picked up our 2016 Windjammer 3029W yesterday. Forest River must be listening in on our conversations because it came with not only the new "Maple" cabinetry & optional flooring but also with ST225/75R15D rated tires. That's D RATED... Spec'd on the tire 65 PSI Maximum!!!!! Nice touch FR- keep up the good work....

Also really like the new "standard" recliner chairs in the back. They match the sofa/bed and are real comfortable. Looks very nice.

Going camping today.... YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the new unit, billb800si. That's interesting news on the tires. The LR "D" is definitely a more reasonable choice. To be clear, are you saying this is now OEM (as opposed to an option you chose)?

Congrats on the new Windjammer from a previous member of the v-nose club. Nice touch with the Load D tires. It cost me three tires and some damage to my unit before I could get home and put D's on myself.

====================

Yes sir- OEM. I never said a word to the dealer about upgrading to "D"'s. It was nice when I read the sticker that spec'd the tires out. I then checked the tires to be sure....

BTW, that extra small exterior storage compartment located behind the entertainment center stores a lot of "stuff". I was surprised.

Off now for a shake-down trip.
Happy trails,

billb800si - When we ordered our 3008W in early 2012 the 3029W was not available. Ours came down to a choice between the 3001W and the 3008W. The 3029W is certainly a nice floor plan and, as you can imagine, we could really use that extra exterior storage compartment to which you refer.

Enjoy that shake-down trip...you will love the Windjammer.

That's great to hear that they put the D rated tires on it. Glade you like the camper layout as it is the same as ours but ours in the V-Lite.

Did you get less carpet in the living area? This what we would have liked to had but seeing as we bought off the lot we got more carpet. Later RJD

Yes. The only carpet in the living area is under the slides. We do have carpet in the bedroom. Wife doesn't like stepping on a cold floor in the winter..

Congratulations on your new Windjammer...interesting about the "D" rated tires. Maybe FR is paying attention to the FRF posts hopefully it will only get better.

We like the tile floors...easier to clean up but DW was quick to add throw rugs in the BR. I agree...nice to have a soft landing in the morning.

Do you all post before coffee in the morning????
Happy Trails
