Windy Ohio

Cross Creek RV Resort, north of Columbus. Overnight stop between Michigan and home in NC. Supposed to leave this a.m., but winds forecast at over 20 mph . Don't want to deal with Columbus traffic with high wind and rain. Major marathon there today, too. So staying another night. Be careful if you're towing around here today. Hope this helps someone.

It appeared to be very nice although we haven't stayed there. We visited while we were staying at Alum Creek SP. Had thought If we go back to the area we would stay there.

Seems very nice. Paved roads and gravel sites that are very level. Lots of grass and most sites have moderately sized trees. Back-in sites seem to have larger "yards." Sign says it was national campground of the year twice. Looks very well maintained.

We discovered it on our way north and chose to stop again southbound. Nice friendly staff.

We stayed there early fall last year while visiting my daughter and grandkids and enjoyed it. Nice facilities and very kid friendly. My granddaughter loves the pool and playground . We plan to return

Wind gusts are a way of life when towing. You have to adjust your speed and you should be fine. Btw, Cross Creek is one of our favorite campgrounds when we visit our daughter at Ohio State University 20 mins away. If camping during July 4th weekend, the Delaware (town name) parade is lame....very lame, but the huge party and fireworks display downtown Columbus is wonderful. It's called "Red, White and BOOM".

Yeah, they first forecast it as 30, then downgraded to 20, plus driving rain.
