Winter Camping

We are looking to buy a seirra with a polar package and I am wondering if anyone has actually used one for winter camping. Does the poor package actually allow for winter camping? Like snow on the ground, cold weather camping?
We are looking to travel and live in ours for a year but that would also include living in it during cold New England weather.
Any tips to surviving and making sure nothing happens to the RV?

For a New England winter you will probably have to do extra work to keep water flowing, I would Google winter rv tips or such for more info.

None of FR's products are true 4-season, even with so-called polar packages.
They are at best 3-season.

You would probably be only slightly better off then being in a tent...

We don't have a problem with cold weather camping, we winter in Florida.

If you really want to camp in cold northern winters, get a true 4-season RV, like Arctic Fox or Outdoors RV.

bikeendan could not of said it better. 3 seasons at best. maybe a night or two below freezing with above freezing temps during the day. to make a camper truly winter rated you need skirting etc and a very hi end unit rated for 4 seasons. a few nights hear and there below freezing sure thing, a whole winter below freezing not a chance.
