It shouldn't but as always there's a "but".
If it's a newer unit with a "float" charge, it will be fine and keep your battery fresh and alive.
If it's an older style one with out a "float" feature, it can/might "boil" your battery dry over the winter.
Plus, there's always the chance of burning it out in a power spike or just from use. They're not cheap units either....
Best option?
take the battery out, unplug the trailer and put the battery on a battery tender/minder/intelligent charger in the heated garage...
