We live about as south as you can get and head to the Gulf once or twice per month for the weekend. We wait until Tuesday and check the weekend forecast as we still get cooler weather down here from time to time. Today we were in the 80's with lows tonight in the upper 60's. It's actually the best time of the year to camp-cooler temps and no bugs.

In the same boat!
We miss camping too! Something about the simple life with fewer things and a smaller house (travel trailer) and nature. We're just going to get ready for the spring as our seasonal site opens again April 1st. We have some patio furniture to touch up, a golf cart to rehab, etc.
Enjoy the holidays! That's easy enough to do.

oh yeah, forgot one!
I liked the one couple's idea of camping in their driveway! Good One!
If your camper's not in the driveway, go to a hotel with pool/jacuzzi, etc and take a mini vaca, or, as we like to call it, running away from home!

We driveway camp since it's plugged in anyway. I watch football out there as well as the beginning of the Nascar season. I can yell at the TV and just get strange looks from the neighbors when I go back to the house!!!

I know what you mean, this time of year sucks in Ohio, I read all my old trailer life mags, & read everything i can about camping & all the pictures on the internet about camping and count down the days till spring. people in the south keep the stories & pictures coming, it helps me get thru the long long winter.

I think it is good to spread my interests around......so I like to enjoy the activities that I can only do in the winter-time, which for me are ice-skating (outdoor rink), Xcountry skiing and tabogganing (oh and snowball fights )
I love snow, the more the merrier!!!

We spend the winters on Vancouver Island. The weather is cool but there is no snow at the CG. If we want to do the regular winter activities we only have to drive 1 1/2 hours.

So, I have the following things so far:
1. Read my travel trailer and other camping magazines.
2. Fix up what needs done in the camper, and other mods.
3. Plan out our 2012 Camping season.
4. Driveway camping.
5. Hope spring gets here soon.
I have been doing all of those, and still going through withdraw...lol
