Wintering

I hate this part. Should be camping this weekend but got rained out...again. Only camped twice this year. For different reasons 4 of our camping trips were canceled this season. I hate wintering. Not because it’s difficult but because I have to put her away til spring. I wish we had a place at home to keep her but we have to have her in a storage lot. Maybe next year will be better. Grrrrr.

I'm putting mine up this weekend... had to stop with only 86 nights in it this year instead of 111 last year and 110 the year before. We lost one trip due to frame/pinbox damage in June and I have foot surgery scheduled Wednesday so I won't be able to load the trailer and hook-up/set-up for several weeks.

We had to winterize about three weeks ago. The good news is I'll be de-winterizing on Tuesday as we leave on Friday for our winter trip this year. 188 days on the road (not Florida!).
Keep smiling the day will come when you can camp year round if you feel like it.

I figure about 12 or 13 more years and we can do this full time. Looking forward to that!

We usually do about 6 months during the winter and maybe two or three summer trips, but only a week at a time. The DW still wants a "home base" better know as the NEST.....LOL
BTW: Thanks for your service!
