I have the front cover off and The fan might have came on for 1 or 2 mins when I went into bulk charge to make sure it worked, It's was pretty quite. But they shouldn't come on at night at all being it should be in float not like the WFCO and that is even turning on an overhead light it still stayed in 13.2. last night an no fans when I was out their. Best as I can answer your question for now.....

I can now answer your question. I have excellent hearing. I put the unit in bulk at 14.4Volts. I had to take the face plate off to see if the fan's where running. I hear nothing at all when they come on. I thought they didn't start. ........ If you are thinking of upgrading this is the unit. Like I said worth every penny spent...

Well you are lucky that Prime Time is using this convertor, the rest of us have to upgrade from that cheap piece of crap FR installs in the other units like the Rockwwod line. Turbo is right he also told me about them in Goshen. I guess Turbo is not always wrong like the Old Coot likes to say, so thanks Turbo GREAT ADVICE. (just kidding about the OC) He also knows what he is talking about and I would take his recommendations to the bank. .......
