I am also still a newbie to any camping or ownership. I am a fixer too, but if you had to hire someone for each repair? Hmm. That would be expensive. I love this forum. I love my trailer(especially after looking at new ones at CW in LR).

Yes for me

Dunno if I've already replied...probably have....

in any case, YEP, I'd buy FR again, and I'd buy Flagstaff again, but ONLY if something catastrophic happens to Buffy. Otherwise, this is our "forever RV".

Yeah, I know, famous last words....

I wonder how the 500+ FR owners at the Goshen rally would respond to this. Suspect it would be around 99%. Sure there are some lemons that get manufactured, but I think a lot of the dis-satisfied owners have a beef with the dealers that unfortunately carry over to FR. My suggested is to carefully pick your dealer and do not base you decision primarily on price. I paid $2K more for my 5er from a dealer that I trust will serve in my best interest before and after the warranty. I have not been disappointed yet and the extra money was well spent.

The poll is really limited in scope. For instance, woud I buy another FR?
well, I'm not dissatisfied, but FR doesn't offer any packages that I now would want, such as more of a 4 season winterized unit.

So, no I wouldn't, but not because of quality, fit, form, or function.

Yes I would buy a FR product again. Mainly based on the fact that Campkins is a FR dealer and the service there is terrific. I never have the issues I hear about on the forum. I have had some oops with them but they belly up and fix it right away no excuses.

FR yes

You all are so lucky that have good dealers that you trust and they treat you right. While we are very happy with our Surveyor and probably would buy another FR product. We will not take ours back to our dealer and he was the closest FR dealer to us and he's almost 3 hours away!
Like oxcamper, we too would like a better insulated unit; ours has the Glacier package w/heated holding tanks, enclosed underbelly and supposedly better insulation but man does it get cold when it's cold outside!

You have to keep in mind that just about any outdoor rig is essentially the equivalent of sitting in an ice box with a lot of convection in play. By that standard modern rigs have come leaps and bounds. Nothing beats hunkering down in a duck walled side wall tent with a stove for warmth, but hardly mobile.

I'm highly impressed with my FR in that respect. Surveyor Sports are probably around a R7. All things considered.. pretty respectable. And the more expensive models I would imagine have a higher R factor.

But then again, I really remember some nights in a hi-top truck bed camper that were probably more in the -10R range. lol Talk about freezing.
