Would you leave your air conditioner on all day?
If you were at a state park and were going to be gone from 8 am until 4pm in afternoon and it was 100 degrees out, would you leave your a/c on all day even though you wouldnt be there? I know that it would take a couple hours to cool it off when we come back in in the afternoon. hmmm

Yes. RV techs will tell you that it might be blowing 20 degrees cooler than outside but it's keeping the humidity down to cool off when sun goes down.
My friend from NH just paid over a $100 to learn this. He was worried it would wear out. He is a 98 model blowing with a 17 to 18 degree drop. Says it stays cool now running in the day here in WV.

If I did, I would turn the thermostat to 80 to help decrease the load on the electrical system in the cg. It doesn't take it long to get the temp down to 75 then.

I don't really know how to answer this.  
Maybe I don't understand the question.
I found it sort of ironic that the poster in post #2 was named Carrier.

Yes, takes to long to cool off from 100 outside. I turn mine up to 75 and on auto, 68 and On at night

I am a refrigeration mechanic. Mostly with transport reefers.

Yes, turned it on before going sightseeing and what not.
Easier to keep it cool if you start while it is cool.

Absolutely. I've tented for over 40 years. We bought the trailer to be comfortable plus I have issues with heat and humidity.

we set ours to low or med and let it stay on so the cat can be a cool cat... If she gets cold she will craw under the covers.

Under the given conditions...yes we would leave our AC on set at around 78.

Do any of you leave your car running with the ac on when you're in the trailer? I don't think it's wise to leave an ac on in a trailer for 8 hrs with no one in it when it only takes about a hour to cool it down.
