Would you trust your tires to a $40 TPMS?

Looking for a TPMS for the trailer tires and came across this

https://www.amazon.com/ZEEPIN-Univer...-1-spons&psc=1

What type do you have ?

Most of those types are designed to work on automobiles where the transmission distance is close. I'd have concerns on good connectivity on a trailer.

I use a TST 507 with non-flow through....The system for $40 seems to get pretty good reviews I saw one of the reviews where a guy uses the system on an Airstream and he gave it 5 stars....I guess it's better then nothing.

I saw where Camping World is selling the TST 507 with 4 non flow thru sensor's for $252.31 with color monitor and free shipping that a good price.

Idunno.. Maybe I am protecting my pride cause I paid much more for my TST system. I would certainly say it is better than nothing, but I would opt for "one of the big guys" systems. YMMV

A tire pressure monitor only understands one thing. Pressure (and somethims temp too) but has no way of knowing what it's attached to.

TPMS systems DO have pressure ranges that match up with cars, vans, trucks so it's important to select a system that measures in the proper range. If you have one that will monitor pressures used in a travel trailer it really doesn't matter if "Travel Trailer" is listed in the suggested uses.

As for a $40 TPMS to monitor tires worth hundreds of dollars? I'm not that cheap.

We got one of the Zeepin TPMS because it had great reviews. So far it seems to work fine on our 30 ft travel trailer. I compared the pressure it reported with my pressure gauge and it seemed to be within 1 to 2 pounds. Granted I lost a little air installing, but it seems close enough. Unfortunately you never really know how good these things are until it detects an issue. It does show the tire temp, and. I can see it rise as we drive, and lower after sitting for a bit.
