X2! I also thought we could not use four letter words on this form such as work?

Most of us already do, we rebuild the units after delivery.

Working the way they do will never produce a quality product, trying to get the job done a warp speed is not in my style of working.

Being retired is good. You can buy an RV and reassemble it at your leisure.

I agree 100%! Have spent many hours (mostly enjoyable I have to admit) correcting, securing and refinishing slopping work. Don't get me wrong, the structure of my trailer is built like the proverbial brick you-know-what house but its the details like unsecured wiring, poorly installed trim, and construction debris left behind every cabinet that could have been easily avoided by just slowing down.

I'd love to work their QA department. I'd last about a week before found in there parking lot.

More like built in three hours not three days. From start of assembly line to end. Most of these plants complete dozens of these a day.

To answer the the question, yes if they moved the assembly plant to S. Texas and I am the QA manger. The employees would not like me very much because I am a very picky person.

Answer....NO. I can't run that fast anymore and I have too much pride in my work to allow what is being built this way. But I don't have stockholders either.

Nothing to complain about

If it wasn't for Forest River we would not have anything to complain about.
We would not even have this forum

If they can build a camper in three days I would give my labor for at least one week to work on my RV.

Check welds. Meaning I would reweld and support the framework as soon on forum. Pinbox flexing and spring hangers.

Upgraded axles and tires and possibly brakes. Easy at assembly.

Heater and A/C upgrades.

Could clean up your camper from sawdust and organize wire. Install EMS. Mount TVs the way you want. Drawers or shelves where you need them. Catch stripped screws and things. Not to mention all the more understanding you would have. Understand their assembly goes on but you could have access to it before and after work hours or breaks.

Not to mention all the upgrades that are coming or available you never even know existed.

Sent from my iPhone using Forest River Forums

If they did that you would put them out of business quick, that trailer that took 3 days to build without you, now takes two weeks to build and will go up $50000 in price.........
