You just HAVE to get a picture of this kind of stupidity! Oh, man!
I saw a guy leaving our storage facility with the WDH still attached to his TV (some sort of large SUV). No problem you say, "I leave the WDH on my TV also." NOT with the bars still attached you don't...just swinging back and forth as I saw him heading down the road and out the gate. I would wager it slows down tailgaters! AND no, I didn't get a picture either...Dang.

The other way around - Will not allow you to activate slide mechanism (in or out) when engine is running.

OK... confession. I was at the dump station and a guy pulled up and said....Sir. Your antenna is up. I felt so stupid. There were lots of trees and I was 1 1/2 miles back. I guess Jesus was riding on top knocking limbs back for me.

I drove 30 miles with my antenna up once and no damage.

Like bamabob, we saw a brand new Class C leaving the camp site to what we thought was going to the dump station and return to his site. When he turned at the intersection in the camp ground the stop sign went through the awning for about 10 feet. Oops.

The class A that I had would not let me start engine with slides out.

There are some things we all can see we could easily forget...like an antenna...out if sight out of mind. Even my Dad once forgot to raise his steps...yep..bent em in half.
So these are somewhat reasonable but a slide intentionally left out....no matter how you interpret what a salesmen said wouldn't you be wary of the added width on the road....?

I button up the outside, she buttons up the inside. We then switch and I check the inside and she checks the outside.

I get the distinct impression she (and hubby) have no previous experience in RVs or RVing. I didn't get the impression that they traveled with the slide out, but if not what the $%^&* happened to the interior slide trim? I am not so sure they really looked at this before purchasing it; the bed is the bed and not a sofa for traveling. The top bunk is standard for most overhead bunks, although I did like the demonstration by the young lady. They are really under informed about what is supposed to happen and not supposed to happen with an RV. Thought they were going to get 16 MPG! Some salesman somewhere is quite the convincing talker!

From the looks of the inside it appears they drove down the road with the sides out and entertaining guest. Sorry but we don't cover that..... And why where they running generator while driving, unless they had sides out and besides 12 on tank of fuel for generator is not bad at all.
