You'll never believe this, but

After one day of driving on those "wonderful" roads in Michigan, Inidana and Illinois, we pulled into Okaw Valley CG in Brownstown, Il and found our glass turntable from the microwave in the kitchen sink. DH immediately said I had obviously left it there after cleaning the trailer. After some "thoughtful" discussion we realized he had just de-winterized the rig and DH was the last one to do anything in the sink and the turntable was not in it. Proving that during transit the microwave door had popped open, the turntable bounced out on the wooden cutting board insert we have in the right side sink then slid down into the left side sink unscathed and of course the micro wave door closed again. OK, I guess I need the pool noodle fix.

I use a cut paper towel tube to secure ours. Works great. Cut in half, insert one half into the other piece and adjust to fit.

We use a pool noodle cut to fit between the turntable and the top of the microwave. Works very well.

We put the turntable in a drawer with the potholders and dish towels

This is a common problem amongst all brands of RV's.

Matter of fact, I attended the 2016 National Rally in Las Vegas, NV in 2016 for my brand of RV and those in attendance got a free microwave turntable case to store them in while on the road.

Many of my RV friends have had them bust the glass on the microwave doors on their way to the floor while travelling.

Our microwave also serves as a bread box which keeps it in place most of the time.
