Z71 suspension good for towing?

Just wondered what you guys think about this: I know my Z71 suspension is designed for off-road performance, but most of us will probably never take our trucks into real off-road conditions. I just wondered if the Z71 is any stronger or has any other attributes that would be beneficial to towing.

I have the z71 package.
Just better shocks, skid plates and a slightly higher ride height. Tmk

Had a gasser Z71 pkg for 1 year. Trader for a diesel with just a 4x4 pkg. Seen no difference in ride height or stiffer shocks. But ooooooo how I love that diesel.

Z71 package has changed over all the years its been around. Nothing in it will add to towing capabilities though

It's no better or no worse than the regular 1/2T. Ride height is a little higher. I have no problem with my 1/2T, but I also have air bags. I lowered the rear end with longer shackles so the truck would be level whether with a load or without.

Oh the (Z-71) the O/R package on the 4x4 version is a (Softer suspension) than the (Trailering package)! So you need better springs or Air bags for towing! The (Z-71) was a (O/Road 4x4) NOT anymore! They come in (2x4)! Youroo!!

Its a decal, skid plates and shocks on the option. It might have the all terrain tires instead of the regular tires, although both the same size. Also you couldn't option for the 20' wheels on some models, 18"s were the max for the z71.(Skid plates are the only real bonus, and you can add them w/o having the z71 package, for about 1/2 the cost (I think its $135 for skid option)(z71 was about $250ish if I remember correctly)
If you option for the z71 appearance package, on 2011- 2014 hd trucks or some of the 1/2 tons prior to the '14s, it was a color matched grille and bumper assembly. (I believe the appearance option was around $900-1250)
