...and say what unit you have. I had to drag info out of them at my walkthrough. Learned more by poking around on my own.

I would've refused acceptance of the RV until I received a competent PDI/walkthrough.

Like we have said here many times first time buyers don't have the advantage of the forum or years of experience to demand a proper PDI with that said I agree with you

Honestly, we have had 5 new rigs, all from different dealers, and not once did we have a competent walkthrough. We always had questions they couldn't answer and we helped them figure out the answers. But that was the trick, we wouldn't leave until we either figured out the answer ourselves or they found/called someone who knew. If we had refused the units for lack of competent walkthroughs, we would never of completed any of the sales Sad, but true.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your Blue Ridge.
What year and model is the trailer?
What questions or issues do you have?

I am also a new owner/first time RV'r but felt the walk thru we got from our dealer was pretty adequate. They recommended video taping it which we did and that has come in handy. They also knew that we were newbies and so added some helpful tips here and there. (They only sell used and aren't, as far as I know, associated with any particular manufacturer, so if mentioning them is allowed: its Abe Thompson's I-70 RV sales east of KC Missouri).
I also think the walk thru we got was way more valuable than the owner's manuals that FR puts out. Maybe their money goes to the dealers (to cover the walk thru) rather than the manuals.
Meant to also say, joined this forum to learn more about all aspects of the RV experience and to add to what I learned in the walk thru.

During a walk through the wife video records it and I have a pencil & notepad. We have a series of questions that we come up with days before hand. We use the app Dropbox so any video/photos/notes that we take with the cell phone is auto uploaded to the cloud so that we can review them from any of our devices (tablet, laptop, other phone etc) at a latter time.
Also just about anything you could want/need to know can be found on YouTube....along with these forums of course
