Blue Ridge Leak

Ok, I have developed a problem on my new Blue Ridge 3025RL and I am somewhat stumped. All of the sudden I have a water soaked spot in the middle of the floor between the bed and the closet area. What is strange is we have not dewinterized the unit so it must be rain water. It is fairly close to the bedroom slide which is extended but the floor between the slide and wet spot is dry. No apparent leakage from the ceiling or walls, it is a new unit so I wouldn't expect it to be. Any thoughts on where to check? I suspect the slide but I would think it would be wet somewhere in between.

Unfortunately being new does not make your unit immune from leaks. How long since your last rain? Is it possible it did leak around the slide and pool in the area where you found the water?

If possible, use your water hose to spray around the slideout to check for a leak. If it doesn't, then spray the roof and see what happens.

Thanks, the rains were recent so I do believe it was rain related. Didn't think about the spraying with a hose, I will give that a try. Thanks for the help.

When you do, try to simulate how the rain would fall on the trailer. High pressure aimed directly at the seals may leak whereas it normally wouldn't during a rain.

If you don't have any luck on your own you may want your dealer to check it out. Rather be safe than sorry.

I take it there is nothing directly above the wet spot? i.e. light fixture, vent. It would almost have to come from the ceiling/roof area. Look for a way the water would travel to get there. Its going to be a hunt and peck.

Unfortunately there is no vents or fixtures around the wet spot. There is a closet however it is completely dry. I assume this is a low spot and that's why it's hard to find. Looks like a definite discovery mission. Thanks for the reply.

Check your slide seals! Mine were not making contact in areas allowing the water to get in and run along bottom of slide when closed. When I opened the slide i had a puddle of water in the middle could not figure how it got there! Mine was also new, had thicker seals put on and solved the problem! Good luck!

we are having problems with a leak around the air conditioner causing the water to run back to the cabinets over the rear window and then it drips down the window. We first thought the windows were leaking but found it only leaks around the a/c unit. Now we can't figure out how to stop this leak...because you can't get to it. We've removed the shroud...and still can't get to the area we suspect is leaking.

Another possibility --- if your bedroom slide was extended during the rain and you subsequently retracted it, water can pool on the slide roof and then run off into the trailer after the slide is retracted. (This is another reason why slide toppers are good to have.)
