I contacted admin to get our own topic. We are newbees and bought our 3125 in May. It's been great but we have had issues so lets hear from other BR owners.

We got our 3125RT in Jan 2010 and so far the only issue we have had is the bedroom AC isn't cooling. Going in next week to repair. Other than that, we have had a great time so far with it.

Hiya,
We purchased our 3125 in May also. Mechanically the trailer has been fine, but we have encountered several cosmetic quality issues, chipped table, broken trim, stained mirrors ,etc.
I am also questioning the size of the black tank. I measured mine and it was no bigger than 40 US gallons and they advertise the Blue Ridge as having a 60 gal Black tank, my dealer is looking into it for me.

Hi,
Just purchased our 2011 2925RL and had the PDI yesterday, so don't even have it home yet. A few minor issues we came across during the PDI, however our dealer was outstanding doing the precheck so may have found other things and fixed them before we did our inspection. Will keep this group updated as time goes on.

How are you liking the Blue Ridge? What are your main likes and dislikes? We are thinking of purchasing this line or a Cedar Run.

We have had our unit now for a couple of months. Traded in a Arctic Fox 27', however have not had a chance to use it yet. Will be going to Yuma & Phoenix in Feb, so will get to use it finally. I can speak to several things found during the PDI and when I transferred our stuff from the old 5er to this one. As you can see by my sig. we have a 2925RL.

Things I would change.
1. Manual roof vent in kitchen area to a remote Fantastic Fan or similar type. Unable to reach it without a 6' step ladder.
2. Coriane counter top in kitchen. While it looks great it's not durable. Scratches very easily.
3. In our model when the kitchen slide is in the island prevents you from accessing the refrigerator. Fix is to move the island 2-3" towards the front, or remove it.
4. In our model when the kitchen slide is out there is a gap between the sink and the wall. Things could fall into this area and when you move the slide in/out it could impact the slide mechanism. Still thinking about a fix on this.
5. Getting into the kitchen area (around the dinette chairs) when the slides are in. Almost impossible. Our fix was to move 2 chairs to the back and tie them down. You still have to squeeze past the wall to get in.
6. Chinese tires.

That being said, we still love the floor plan and the unit as a whole.

We took delivery of our 2011 Blue Ridge 3025RL the first of February. We have a trip scheduled to Myrtle Beach the third week in March. We love the unit and can't wait to get on the road with it.

Mark, what do you use for a tow vehicle. Just wondering with the dry pin weight of 2600 lbs of the 3025RL. I have a F250.

We now have a 3025 that we are living in while rebuilding our home that was destroyed by fire on 1/6/11. We purchased it at an auction and we didn't get any manuals with it.

I love the floor plan but we are still trying to figure out a few things about it.

How do you switch the water heater to gas?

How do you drain the "galley" tank?

I sure would appreciated your help.

eaglesdancing, the water heater will switch to gas on its own if the electric switches (in the water heater compartment and on control panel are in the off position). The drain conncetion is under camper mid-point on curb side and drain valve is located in compartment just rear of propane compartment.

Eagle, I have a 2007 F250 crew cab with the 6.0 diesel. According to the dealer the Blue Ridge is 11000+ dry and 14400 GVRW and the F250 is rated at 15500 with the towing package. I also have a B&W Companion hitch rated at 18000 lbs. It does a nice job pulling the rig.

Tried turning off the electricity to the water heater but it still doesn't switch over.

I don't know what else to do. It has me puzzled.

The local Forest River dealer won't service the water heater because he claims that Forest River doesn't pay enough for him work on the trailer. He is a dealer but won't service the trailer.

eagle, this may sound like a dumb question but have you ckecked to make sure your propane tanks are turned on and full? Also check the control panel and see if the w/h switch is in the on position. Good luck.

If you are still having problems, contact FR and explain the problem and that the dealer will not service the trailer. I'm sure they wil help you out. Good Luck.

Dry pin weight is not real life. The best way is to weigh the trailer hitched as if you are going camping. The catalog said my trailer had a dry weigth of 10230lbs and yet on the label on the trailer says 10556lbs. You need to add propane, water, clothes etc. to the dry weight to get an accurate "wet" pin weight to determine if your trucks payload and GVWR is OK. Or you can use 18-20% of the trailers GVW to get a good idea of the pin weight then add truck weight to this to determine if you are within the trucks GVWR, posted on inside driver door jam.

MarkP, keep us up to date on your experience. We looked at a 3025RT today and are considering it seriously. We would like to hear any good and bad comments. Dealer only has one of this model on the lot and is pushing me...but I am not moving until I can get more data.

Well as promised, we are just completing a 6 week shakedown trip in our new Blue Ridge. We are currently in the Phoenix, AZ after spending the last two weeks of Jan. in Yuma, AZ. Glad to report NO problems. Attribute it to FR making a good product and my 4+ hour PDI

Sam, will do. We fell in love with the floor plan and are looking forward to getting on the road with it if diesel doesn't go up to $10 a gallon.
