LOL! Yep...same issues nearly all of us faced with new rigs. The capped line will be to draw your antifreeze when winterizing. For your water heater (WH) bypass, it will almost always be right at your water heater. Two lines, with valves and a third line connecting the other two. The two lines, input and output will be closed. The third line which connects the two will be open, effectively bypassing the WH.
Be sure you drain and clean all antifreeze before you open up your Water heater...
And welcome! Enjoy the fun and ask anything you have questions about. We're all in this one to help each other.

Usually you can find the manuals on the manufacturers websit. But that's not always the case. If not, you can call customer service. Did a manual not come with it? Let me see if I can dig one up real quick....

I will bring up your concerns about the information in the owners manual to "the powers that be" In my opinion this info should be in the owners manual. I am not sure at this point if it's something you've overlooked, or if in fact there is no info in the manual regarding winterization and the water filter/pump in general

nearly all RV manufacturers only provide a generic owners manual.
very few provide an "in-depth" owners manual anymore.
usually just the most expensive manufacturers.

I don't think they are even on a level to be considered "Generic". IMHO they are totally useless for anything but starting a campfire. I love my Flagstaff and FR products, but what they give you for a "Manual" is disgraceful.
