1st camping trip water issues

I have a Surveyor 192T. I am connected to the city water connection. However, my Fresh water tank is filling up and so is my gray tank. I have only been at camp less than 24 hours.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in Advance!

This is usually caused by the check valve sticking in the water pump. Turn the city water off and turn on your water pump and a faucet. do this several times. you may be able to reset the check valve.

Filling the freshwater tank via the leaking check valve is very common.

Don't understand your grey tank filling. If you think it's filling just because the level lights say it is, be aware that another common issue is that the level lights for your tanks are notoriously inaccurate and will light up even with the tanks empty. If you have a sewer connection, try draining the grey tank and see if you really get anything out of it (more than what you may have put into it from your city water use, anyway).

Thanks Broadway Joe!
I will try this and let you know if it works.

Same thing happened to me after I left the Forest River Rally in Elkhart. I tried reseating and it didn't work. I wound up buying the valve assy on amazon for $18.00 and replaced the rubber valve assembly.

I am going to contribute the Gray Tank to my wife being a newbie at RVs and not knowing how to conserve water when washing dishes and giving our toddler a bath.

But I believe the check valve is the issue of filling up the fresh water tank.

I am going to run the water pump several times and try it again.

You are probably right on the grey water usage, it is a learning curve. Don't leave water running to rinse dishes, brush teeth, etc. Take navy showers (get wet, turn off water and soap up, then rinse.)

Absolutely sure. They are on opposite sides of the camper from each other.
