Black water tank flush

Anyone installed one of the flush systems in your black water tank? Is the tank even accessible from the bottom of the camper? It's a pain trying to flush the system, my grandfather recommended something like this, as he's had one on his last 2 campers and says it's much easier to get the tank cleaned out.

I too have been curious....I just orderd off amazon the same thing but have yet to install it. I ripped open the package and connected the sprayer to the garden hose....I was not super impressed but I would immagine it would do the job. I too would like to hear from others on their impressions.

I was looking for someone that had installed one of these on a surveyor specifically as the bottom of mine is solid with no access to the tanks.

Are you sure? I have a 2004 261T. My tanks are clearly visible, 1 over each of the 2 axles. The rest of the flooring is covered by the black plastic membrane.

An issues I just notice this year is that the plumbing from the gray water tank is right at the bottom of the tank and just above the axle itself. Fine. It shoots over to the side from there (toward the tires), but actually rises a couple of inches, before it turns to the rear and slopes downward to the valves. The 2" rise basically means it's imposslble to fully drain my gray water tank.

I just looked under the front of the camper and it looked like the membrane went all the way back, guess I'll crawl under the axles and take a closer look. This all came about because after I dumped at the end of my last trip, the meter said the tank was empty, but when I checked it in the driveway yesterday when I was checking the systems and getting ready to pack up, the black water tank was 3\4 full. I assume something like tp is caught on the sensor in the tank, but still odd since the tank read empty after I flushed it out last trip. Dragging a hose in and flushing the tank was a serious pain so I was looking for something that I could connect from outside to make it easier to dump.

Mine came with one on the front black tank, and I had the dealer install a Tornado flusher on the back black tank, so I can't help you with the installation other than it doesn't look like it would be that difficult. I can tell you that it is well worth the money. It works great. I usually flush with the dump valve open for three or four minutes, then I close the valve, fill the tank to about 2/3 showing on the level indicator, then dump again. It always does a good job of cleaning the tank, cleaning the indicator probe, and I don't have any problems with sewer smell. One of the few products that works as advertised.

Well I think you just sold me on it after I get under there and make sure it's possible to install it where I want it. I'm thinking installing it on the front side of the tank to flush everything toward the drain?

I looked under the camper at the axles last night and sure enough there were 2x black tanks there, they camoflauges them with the black membrane on the rest of it. Where is the Tornado installed on your first tank? It looks like there is about 3 inches of tank hanging below the bottom of the camper to install it in and it can be mounted directly across from the drain to push everything out.

I'm planning on pulling it out of the shed this afternoon. I'll crawl under it and see what I can tell about how it is mounted. I know the one that is factory installed the flush piping for it goes into the top of the tank.

Thanks sself1219. A plunger modified with a hose and a spray on the end would probably be a good mod for the camper. Thinking too much outside the box.
