Question Can my 2006 Uplander tow 2004 SV190T?

We are looking at a 2004 Surveyor SV190T. Some places state weight at 2800 dry weight, others 2200. Our towing capacity is 3500 according to manufacturer? With a family of 4 is that trailer going to be too heavy?

Welcome to the forum!

In checking your Uplander in the Trailer Life towing guide, it says 3500 lbs with a towing package. The dry weight doesn't matter as the only time you'll tow in empty is the way home from the dealer. There will be a data plate on the left front of the camper stating it's GVWR. That's the number to judge by.

I wasn't able to find camper weights on line. A new Surveyor SC 192T weighs 3642 lbs dry.

Your Uplander will be over it's max towing and payload IMHO. It's meant to tow a pop-up or small boat trailer...not much more.

Agree, too much trailer.
Your 3500 rating is based on only a 150lb. driver in the car.
So the weights of other passengers, cargo and the WDH, will lowet that 3500 number.
Also, that HTT's ”dry”weight is 2934lbs. No way it'd be 2200lbs.!
So, from the factory, with battery, propane and options, it'll weigh over 3500lbs. before you add cargo and water.
Unfortunately, you'd probably not be able to tow even the smallest hybrid.
