New campers

We are brand-new to camping and we have a surveyor I think it's a 236 ST. I have some questions.
1. Where do you put the beds when you fold the camper up?
2. My queen mattress does not lay flat. It also hangs over the side by the dinette. Is it supposed to do that?
3. I noticed that the side bed does not have additional supports. What is the weight limit on that bed?
Thanks for helping. I'll probably have more questions as the day goes on.

First of welcome! Someone here might be able to help out but if you got it from a dealer they should be able to answer those questions.

I figured out why the queen bed was not laying flat, sort of. I had the flap Velcrod down, which covered the snaps. Now I don't understand why there is Velcro on the flaps when the bed is going to cover it. What do the flaps Velcro to? This is a 2006 model and we got it from a dealership but not a Forest River dealership. They seemed about as clueless as us when it came to the hybrid part of the camper.

Did a quick search and according to forest river the expandable beds have a 1000lb capacity. And as far as the queen bed rv's use different dimension beds then the standard bed. Standard queen is 60x80 where you should have a 58x81. Heres where I got that info. http://www.forestriverinc.com/nd/ult...05surveyor.pdf

I've wondered that myself. With the snaps outside of the velcro strip, you can't leave the mattress snapped in place if you want to seal the tenting with the velcro. The only answer I've come up with is to unsnap when you set up, and resnap when time to fold back up. Unfortunately, that a recipe for wearing/tearing the snaps out.

Thanks! So when you fold the camper up do you leave the beds snapped in place I assume?

the Roo/Shamrock hybrids' mattresses stay snapped onto the bunk platform and pack away vertical, when the bunk door is closed.
not sure if Surveyor does the same thing.
but if the mattress has straps with snaps, that's probably how they're stored.
