Water Filter Location

I have a 2003 Surveyor SL190T. From the brochures, etc I get the impression that all of the surveyors have "whole unit" water filters but I have not been able to find one on my camper. Help!!

Thanx
Bill C.

If you have 1, it should be near the water pump outlet.

Have a look under a dinette seat, that is where mine is on my Shamrock 19.

You should also have a white plastic wrench to unscrew the filter housing.

Good luck.

That seems to be the popular thought so evidently I don't have one. I was hoping to find a user guide specific to my unit but no luck yet.

Thanx

Our Surveyor SV 303 has it under the bathroom sink. Also check behind the beauty panel that hides the pump and winterization T valve.

Under the seats seemed like a good possibility to me too, since The fresh water tank is under one and the water heater under the other. Under the sink in the bathroom, where the water pump is located seemed good also as a filter there would catch water from both the water pump and the direct water hook-up. Like I said, they all seemed like good possibilities. Oh well.

Thanx

Good questions Steeljag!

I know we go through several external (hose end) water filters a season! Seems like many of the campground s have really silty crappy water "YUCK"!

I read in our brochure at least once a year...which is weird to me, but...I guess when it tastes yucky, change it.

I am going to buy a couple of filters and store in the same area. Ours is located under the kids dinette seat/bunk bed next to the water outlet.

Weird thing is that I "assume" the toilet water too is filtered?

On our new 8312ss I finally found the water filter in the back bh area where the water pump is located and the water comes into the trailer. It was in behind the lower door which has to be unscrewed.
