2 Black water outlets

I have a 2016 XLR Thunderbolt 420AMP. There is an outlet right under the slide and it is marked Sewer Outlet Drain/Holding tank drain. There is another outlet to the right of the slide marked Black Tank/Grey water drain.
I can never get anything to come out of the Black Tank/Grey Water drain? The drain under the slide seems to and must be draining everything because the tanks have not overflowed yet.
Are there 2 sets of holding tanks in this unit?

Have a look if there is another drain valve handle just above the driver side tires that goes through the frame to dump the black/grey tank at the back of trailer. also see post 24 and 31 in link below.

Yes, there is a pull handle for both Black and Grey at the rear dump pipe. Pulling them gives no results.

So it sounds like I have multiple tanks. Maybe the rear tank is blocked? I wish I could find a schematic of the plumbing. That would answer some questions.

It looks like you have two grey tanks and two black tanks if it's like in this video. Have you pull the black water tank valve in the water bay area?

Have you been flowing water in the half bath to see if it comes out?

The rear tank on my 375amp is a single combo grey/black that receives from both the sink and toilet in the garage half bath, but it drains to the same outlet as everything else via a pull handle behind the tires. I have additionally 2 more greys and 1 black up front.

Looks like I have 2 sets of tanks. Just can't figure out why the rear tank won't drain. Maybe I need to put more water in it. It doesn't get used much.

If you have 2 bathrooms separated by the axels then you have 2 black tanks.
Possibly 2 grays also. They don't need to be full to drain. Dump 5 gal of water in it. It should come out.

Ive got the XLR Nitro with the half bath in the back. There are 2 greys and 2 Blacks. Here is my configuration. Blacks are simple, one black under each toilet. The handle for the front black is in the bay with your fill ports. The handle for the rear black is on the roadside about 3-4 feet back from the tires up under the skirting. There are 2 handles there, the black handle is the further-est back (closest to the rear of the RV).

The grey tanks work like this, the sink in the rear half bath drains into the rear black tank (I cannot confirm this, this is just what I was told from the factory). The shower and sink in the front bathroom drain into the front grey tank and this handle is in the bay with your filler ports. The kitchen sink drains into the rear grey tank and that handle is the front handle 3-4 feet behind your tires on the roadside under the skirting.

When pulling my rear handles it takes it about 5 seconds to start running out of the dump valve (it has a little longer distance to travel).

In my garage is a meter for the rear black (the light up deal that tells you how full it is).

Does your rear grey dump fine? and you are having problems with just the black? When pulling the rear black handle does it feel any different than the others? I have heard these cables break and stretch or just stop working, if this happens I was told it should feel noticeably different when pulling it.

I don’t get much if any out of the rear tanks. Right now where I’m hooked up the hose won’t reach to the rear. I will have to test more when we pull out next week. But you guys have been very helpful and answered a lot of my questions. We were in a bit of a hurry when we picked this thing up as I had a VA appt to keep. Or we would have done a more thorough walk thru.

Did you find the pull drain handle for EACH tank????

Brother-in-law thought that he had two tanks.....

Water started backing up in the tub and he could not figure out why.....

He had three tanks... one for the shower and bath sink (gray water)...
had the camper over two year and did not know he had three.... black/gray/gray tanks
'We' all talked over his 'no drain' tub problem and looked around until 'someone' found a half hidden drain handle..... one little pull.....flusssshhhh.....

(I have three tanks on my unit)

What do you mean the hose wont reach? Do you have 2 separate termination points? Meaning, do you have 2 dump pipes and when wanting to dump the rear tanks it is a separate connection?

Yes, that is correct. One connection in front of the axles and one behind. With 5 separate handles to pull. 3 in the front and 2 for the rear. So it almost seems like there would be 5 tanks? Or why would it have 5 pull handles?

And unless the receiving drain is positioned right 20’ of hose won’t reach both at the same time.

Oh wow, ok, mine being similar to yours in the XLR line and years I thought they would be the same for tank configuration. My advice may not be so good now. Sorry about that.
