2011 XLR 27 water pump
Hello Hope you can help
I bought an XLR 27 HFS new in 2011 from Jeff Couch RV's
The camper is excellent and has given lots of enjoyment.
While dewinterizing the water heater I noticed the water pump wire
leads were not connected. Red and black leads just sitting there.
When we camp we normaly go to campgrounds and have never used the pump.
But I would like to have it availible if needed.
I like some photos of the pump and wires. there is
also a white and purple cable not connected ???
All I want to know is where to connect the pump wires. Can you please
send wireing diagram or photos. The RV does have a pump switch in the
bathroom panel.
Any help would be appreciated.

I can take a look at my 29HFS and get back to you. Wolf.

Thanks Wolf. I have added some photos. Big pain in the butt, you have to remove the queen bed completely to get to the compartment. This is on the 27 HFS model. Same thing when winterizing.
Winters coming so anyone closing up their camper please snap a photo and pass along. Again looking for where Red + Black wires on water pump tie into.

Dwarren, i went out of town without looking... i apologize..... see that white cable? I bet if you split the sheath you will find two wires... inside...nice if they were red and black but could be anything ... i would test the wires inside of that cable and see if there is +12vdc and ground there with the pump switch on... i would turn it off while stripping the wires. Usually + is red and black is - or ground.. dont rely on the color rather test them. If you dont have a Vom or dont know how to use one get a test light. Should light ... might light when light connected across two wires. Let me know what you find. Wolf

Thanks for replying, yes to your suggestions. I was looking for the easy way out by someone supplying a photo.
I will have to use a volt meter and trace the wires and pump switch in bathroom sometime this fall. Still trying to get a few more weekends in.

Wolf you were right. Kind of forgot for a bit but was pulling battery for winter and decided to check that cable. Used volt meter and had wife turn pump switch on an off. Sure enough that cable was never connected right. I'll fix this spring, and leave a reminder note inside. Right now it's like an ice box. I been reading a lot about issues with build quality on these and have been very lucky. So far for a 2011 this is my only problem. Thanks for the help and pray for spring. Not a fan of winter.

An easy fix for sure. I did have the axles replaced with 5200# ers. The poor microwave install and a couple of stripped cabinet screws is about all that was "bad". Apparently doors and bathroom fixture installation was by eye... And not a good eye at that... and might not bother a normal person and easily adjusted. I would consider the poor placement of the dump valves, which I reworked, amateurish or worse. I'm camping right now in it and looking at a few more crooked things that I will correct today. But I am still happy with it. It isn't an Airstream or a Prevost after all!

I don't like Winter but a bad day camping is better than a good day at work!

X2 on the poor placement of the dump valves. I finished installing electric dump valves this fall, we'll see how they hold up over time.

Yes to that. I know Wolf has XLR29 and fixed issue. Mine is the 27 and I have to crawl under main dump valve to get at shower and bath sink holding valve. A real Pain in the A when its been raining. Plan to change it.
Also going to check wheel bearings. No issues but read a few things and want to make sure there will be no issue.
