It seems like it's fairly new to campers. I didn't see it on any campers last year at the RV shows but all over the place this year.

Sounds like waiting for the 2014 was worth it. The led awning lights seem to be very popular based on FFR post's. That is still one mod. on my list. For know I just use old boring led rope lights attached with clips to the awning.
