2015 XLR 300x12

Just ordered recently, first fiver, excited to have the flexibility of this unit, plus auto leveling and generator. We don't have toys, just kids, but like the idea of flexible space for hauling that turns into a playroom/bedroom as needed.

Will be pulling with 14 f250 crew diesel and this was one of the few units with a pin weight we can be comfortable with while giving us most of what we want. Any advice for the news here? Thanks

Man, I'm Jealous. My F150 is not even 2 years new yet so getting a proper TV for a unit like that is out of the question. But, if I had an F250/350, then I would have looked very hard at that unit. Instead, I had to settle for the Hyperlite 24HFS, which I can honestly say, I am not excited about. It is how ever, the only toyhauler out there that fits my needs and is tow able.

As far as weight goes, dry pin says 1840....so I am sure with a few options I am overy gvwr, but should be well under my axle and tire ratings. Hopefully no one thinks this sounds too heavy for the f250, door sticker payload at a dismal 2060 pounds...

Yeah, all it takes it two full propane bottles and you will be near your cargo capacity on the pin weights. But the more weight that is in the garage, the less weight the pin will see as the weight is behind the axles.

It is the one reason why I bought a F350 instead, I just did not want to be playing with air bags and other stuff to keep the truck happy with a heavy pin weight. I have a Primetime Sanibel 3600 and she is a little pin heavy for the weight numbers but thankfully well within all the numbers on my door sticker. I dont have my weight sheet to quote the numbers though.

I didn't want f350 due to increased insurance and registration costs. Confident enough that although I might be a bit over payload sticker that I am still well within the trucks capabilities.

Congrats on your new purchase. I have a 2014 300x14 and pull mine with a 2500 hd. You will have no problem. I pull mine up to West Va with four four wheelers in garage and have plenty of truck. I did put air bags on my truck which helped a great deal. Good luck and welcome to the xlr family.

I am currently looking at a xor 30x12, trying to get the dealer to come down a little on price, they want 56???, that seems like a lot for that unit, any one have any imput on that?

I havent seen any with full paint, and I dont believe it was an option on the list? I can point you in the direction of the place I am getting mine, which I thought was quite a deal...more options, 2015 instead of 14 or 13, and less money...

I miss my F250 diesel but only in the mountains, that thing was a mule. Even pulling a fully loaded toy hauler with two Harleys the engine hardly increased revs going up a mountain while passing passenger cars. You made a good choice for the 29HFS.

My Tundra has to work a bit to get the 27HFS up a mountain, but is a lot more practical one the trailer is off and has no issues on flat land.
