24HFS owners
Has anyone has any issues with sway. My first outing with it I filled the fresh tank full and the fuel station full. This is all behind the rear axle. Plus had my xp1k rzr loaded up. After learning the fresh water tank was behind the axles to me this seems like a lot of weight on the back and wonder if this is what is causing the sway. I know I really need to put it on a scale to know for sure. Just wondering if anybody has an experience with this already. Thanks

I have the 27HFS, ran with full fuel and fresh water tanks along with 900 pound bike for about a two and half hour trip. I have the Blue Ox hitch, no sway at all...Don't know if that helps.

I've read good things about the Blue Ox hitch. I might need to upgrade mine.

Seems your load is out of wak . to light on the tongue weight . why buy a hitch to mask a loading problem ? others things can cause sway also . is the TT level when towing

Yes I agree that it would seem the load is out of wak. But it can't be loaded any other way. Seems to me they should have put the fresh water tank before the axles. Not all the way in the back. And yes the trailer is level.

What bars do you have on your Blue Ox. We have a 2014 F150 SCrew,LT tires and the same trailer as you. With the bike and no water or fuel we have sway. The dealer insisted we only needed 750 lb. bars but I'm thinking possibly 1500, certainly 1000lb. bars with a hitch weight of 1080 without the bike.

I have 1500 bars. Bought this used, and that was the bars they had. I was told same thing, 1000 bars, but 1500 is what came with it, and works great. I do put a lot of tension on the bars. I hook up the trailer without bars, then raise the trailer very high where I can adjust my chain lenghth for the bars, then lower tongue. When taking off, I do the same thing. Raise the tongue very high to take off the tension, release the chains, then lower the tongue to remove trailer from hitch.

You have to watch that the rear TT axle and tires do not get over loaded . you may try and tow with the front of the TT lower then level . just a thought

Get the weight distribution hitch with dual cam anti-sway and say good bye to white knuckle driving.

My FW tank is half way between axles and tongue. I thought the 24 was same.
If behind axles, try traveling with very little H20
Of course WDH and antisway set up properly. You need 10% of total trailer weight on the tongue. Might need to visit a CAT scale.

Yeah I thought the 27 was different. Mine appears to be behind the axles right next to the fuel tank.
