For comparison, my 31FQSL came with the Patio option and it has seven springs.

R3J, I can only count 6 springs (only?), but photo kind of fuzzy.

My Hyperdiaper 29HFS came without the patio option, and has 3 springs, but looks like two more could be added.

Got it. I started to say I had 7 because of the hinges until I happened to notice the actual black springs

AN ANSWER FROM FORREST RIVER ON THE RAMP QUESTION:

My Question concerns the ramp door on our unit, (making it party deck)

Does Forrest River Make two doors for this unit, One for use as a deck, the other for a standard ramp, been on some forums that can't agree on this subject.

Would appreciate any info on this matter

Wayne,
I can answer that for you. If you don't have the VIP party deck already on your unit you would need to change the ramp door to make this happen. You cannot buy part to make a regular ramp door into party deck, there is not proper support in the door to accommodate this option.
Best Regards,
Diane

Thanks Wayne (Rebel) and Diane for that information. I wish she had been more specific what the "support" actually is, physically.

WW

I'm pretty sure some guys on here had posted they already changed theirs. I wonder how it worked out for them?

I don't get how you can load 2000 pounds on the ramp but can't support 500 as a patio without a different door. Seems cheaper to just make one door over and over than to make multiple doors. I'm curious too as to what the difference would be.

I can't imagine needing more than a flat plate or an angle in a few places for additional support.

How does anyone verify what door they have?

Maybe the diffence in the door is pockets for the railing? Safety rail supports? Dunno.

It would be nice to get a solid answer as to the difference . Dianes statement was very vague
