Excellent! Sometimes it's actually worth the money.

Glad you are happy with it and hope you get many miles of enjoyment.

I forgot to mention that I had put a second friction anti sway bar on the rig to attempt to control the sway, and FE dropped real bad to 6.4 mpg on the trip. Now with the Hensley my FE jumped back up to a miserable 9.1. Could the anti sway friction bars really eat up 1/3 more fuel?

I suppose if the sway caused you to be inconsistent with the throttle, it could hurt economy. I would think a headwind would do more harm. I had just gotten 10.8 but the last drive I averaged 9.6. I'd like to mention, I put 3 sizes up tires on the truck which negatively effected sway, but airing up to the max and putting more tension on the spring bars helped. Its tolerable now.

Wolfwhistle, I think your right the weather had a lot to do with the FE, two friction bars may as well. Love the new Hensley hitch.

FE shouldn't be a discussed by any of us RVers; we buy huge boxes and pull with trucks weighing 7-10k lbs. And are not happy with FE. What's wrong with this picture?
I started out (recent history), with a light half-ton pulling a Trailmanor (16 mpg BTW) total weight 9k... went bigger and bigger... Now just south of 17k ... And around 10 mpg. We should be more concerned with making memories. I hope I hear what I just wrote!

WW I agree. You gotta pay to play. If we were worried about the funds we'd be staying at the Motel 6 for $25 a night.

Sorry, but Motel 6 hasn't been $25/night for many years.

Well, the Motel 6 on Boulder Rd in Vegas is $26, so I'll call the point.

Haven't been to Vegas in years, but here east of the Mississippi, they are 2.5x -3x higher than that.

Wolfwhistle I don't often disagree with you but... Although if you can't afford the fuel.... find a tent you can put on you motorcycle and get 50 mpg is a point, it missed my point totally. It was an amazing improvement of nearly 50% that was baffling. Any time I can get a 50% improvement I'll take it. Why is still a question.
