29hfs awning

Went out today to deploy my awning to the 29hfs and all I get is a clicking sound. Fuse is ok and I'm hooked to shore power. Any thoughts?

yep, I have 12v at the motor, I fear the motor died. I'm 2 years since I bought it today, the motor is $650

Ouch.....that seems pricey. Maybe it would be less money to have an electric motor repair shop rebuild the original. Just a thought. Good luck

Any progress on the problem? What if you pull out on the arm (assist) while someone holds the switch to ... what does it say? ... out or deploy?

My awning is slow coming back in; I have assisted by pushing, which helps. I wonder if the rewind spring tension is too light? But, it winds out normally.

$650 for a motor . not correct you can get the whole awning for just about 650

Well there is a two year warranty on the awning and Forest river honored it a few days late. Great XLR team, thanks. The motor was completely gone. Dealer said motor cost to them was 450, my cost to buy 600. Ouch, couldn't get the old one to repair. It was going back to warranty. Awning must be special with the hidden motor in the awning roll instead of on the end?

I had awning motor go out on 2015 Cedar Creek. I called mobile repair tech who is a authorized Dometic service center. Even though it was out of warranty Dometic sent motor no charge I had to pay for labor
