It's supposed to. Black is toilet and shower, gray is kitchen and bathroom sinks, and the extra gray button on the panel is for a tank you don't have. The XLR factory uses the same indicator panel for all their units, and some upper end models have 2 gray tanks. Yours does not.

Shower draining to black is a good thing. More water is your friend for draining and rinsing.

I wish my W&P 25CB shower drained to the black tank. Only my toilet does. With kitchen sink, bathroom sink and shower draining to grey it means that my grey fills way faster than the black.

Strange. My '14 27 HFX has two grey tanks. One for kitchen and one for bath shower and sink. Toilet only in black.

Never heard of the shower water draining into the black tank??? Always on my units it's the gray water tank. Seems odd to me? You wouldn't want it full and backing poo up into the shower drains?? Are you sure??

My 29hfs has 2 gray tanks. One for the kitchen and one for the bathroom sink & shower. Only the toilet goes into the black tank.
Can't speak for other models.

I remember a little while back a thread about this topic. Guy was wanting his shower re-piped to the grey tank. Some people said it went to the black due to tank placement and location of the shower/toilet.

Also if you look at the specs you may find the grey tank is real small compared to black. My trailer for instance has the shower going into the black so the black tank is 54 gallons and the grey is 32.

Depending on your location and usage that may be a problem as the grey will be full quicker than the black is shower water is going in there.

On my unit (2008 Lexington 235S) the toilet and bathroom sink go to the black tank. The kitchen sink and shower go to the grey.
