Thumbs down $77,000 Dollar Mistake

Hey everyone.

So back in Feb I bough a brand new XLR 386X12HP. That's where the happiness ends.

So we get Delivery in April. Here's the first list of failures
- Cabinet Missing from loft bed
- Cabinet doors have to be installed on the loft cabinets
- Garage door not closing.
- Large awning roller is bent. Makes contact with slide will not roll up.
- Leveling system needs to be calibrated. I
- Both man doors are extremely hard to close. Doors do not always latch sometimes they will open by themselves.
- Both man screen doors do not close. They will appear to close but the top half will not make contact with the frame. Plastic sliders on the screen doors do not slide or they pop out of their track.
- Top trim on couch/table slide fell off.
- Skylight in master bedroom is not fully sealed by the gasket.
- Man door between garage and living space not aligned properly can't close it

Now Fast forward to Yesterday
- Main Awning now had bent the arms because due to it being bent it is not rolling up straight
- Wardrobe slide motor stopped working/ Circuit board broke
- Back window in toy box fell off
- Outside shower connection dented

So My trailer is back in the shop again. Apparently forest river doesn't believe there is anything wrong with the awning from the original pictures

Wish I woulda kept my $20k dollar trailer that didn't have these problems

I don't want to make it seem that I don't understand your frustrations because I and many many here completely understand.

It seems that most of these issues could have been addressed by your dealer during their inspection upon arrival at their lot.

Obviously your not a new RV owner so it hurts that much more trading in a unit that the bugs have been worked out only to feel like you have been taken. If your dealer is a stand up outfit they will make these things right and you will have many years of trouble free camping in your future.

Hang in there and keep us posted.

Yeah this is my 5th RV/TT

Plus the 20 years with my parents in various trailers from the original Tent Trailers LOL.

Just expected some quality control coming from a 70k purchase. My last trailer was only 20k and there were zero problems in 3 years camping in the same spots
