AC vent options?

I'd like to replace the 6 ac vents in my 29HFS with a model that can be closed off, so I can direct the cool air to the rooms I want. The problem I'm seeing is that most models still let a significant amount of air by even when closed off. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a model that actually seals off the vent. Right now I'm using the painters tape method and it's no fun.

Not sure if your stock vents are large like mine were but I bought these https://www.dwincorp.com/product/jet...-ceiling-vent/ and they snap right in. They also have the smaller vents as well. They seal well.

The 7/8" collar is what I ordered and worked perfectly. Basically the collar is the "male" connection length. Too long and it may hinder duct work air flow.

Several of us have replaced our registers with the units linked above and they have worked great. The 7/8" collar is what's in most of our units.

Word of caution. Shortage of air flow can be harmful to your a/c system. I think mine only has 5 vents and should have more. Thinking of trying to add....not to mention it would reduce noise.
