For towing quadrasteer is amazing ----- had an almost 4k camper on truck and tow mastercraft ski boat, separately of course w no issue towing / hauled great. I'm not as concerned w sway do to quadrasteer system - quadrasteer keeps TV and Trailer act as one - but more on weight transfer - first time using a WD hitch system.

Only half ton the 6.0 assume diesel ? is great but the load capacity might be borderline . i'm towing with a 2003 6.0 gas 2500hd long bed std cab 4x4 with all the factory tow goodies And I'll be just about maxed . at 10,300 with a max gcwr of 16,000 . that i'll be under but close total ! assuming I'll have the 29 fully loaded to max spec of around 9675.

But then again you do have a gm

6.liter gas about 9mPG when towing lol - I am thinkin about converting to Diesel engine this winter though - have a friend that does conversions - - if only GM would bring back quadrasteer I would buy a new truck immediately. And yes I will be maxed out but got close to 300,000 miles on her and have towed and hauled maxed out all 300,000 miles great truck...... My master craft was pretty close to the TH weight so hopefully same towing outcome............

that 6.0 is a great engine , hell of a work horse .It's not easy getting rid of a truck you trust . I know mine is just getting her legs at 110,000 , getting ready for a complete service for the next 100,000 . I'm sure it'll be fine ,if we don't always take it to the max we aren't living . I know I'm right there with mine and I'm bigger then you .lol

Not with a 33' trailer i can't , std cab long box is pretty tight .really only a few inches difference .<G>
I'm going to be using the Andersen . after days of research , reading reviews , talking to people who've used it , talking to Andersen . I've just about drove Jason over at andersen nuts with my calls . i made the choice to get one , haven't used it yet but have 0 worries . Came in a week ago and got the wrong frame brackets . they sent out the ones needed and a return label for the others , no cost . when you have a company that is that involved it takes the worry off .

Not sure . only one andersen wd hitch . you need the 2 5/16 ball . the 6" frame brackets . i got the 8' drop rise shank . figure i could cut it down if needed . . the Ansersen is one stout unit , very impressed with the material used , the shank is one solid chunk of steel . the brackets are at least about 3/8 thick . I got mine from
Andersen Weight Distribution Hitch | No Sway | Hitches Online . just pick the right sized ball and brackets 6" for us , drop and rise shank and your done . can't wait to use it a little over 4 weeks
