Anyone know what "XLR" stands for?

I know and XLR connector is a type of electrical A/V connector so maybe it's connected to the "Amp" and "Thunderbolt" terms also used by FR but not sure. Extra Large RV?

Robin,
This one really caught my eye for some reason. Did some google searches and there are a number of hits that indicate this is what XLR stands for -

Extended Living and Recreation

But you know anyone can post anything on the WEB...

Interesting. I wonder if it came about like Stone Temple Pilots? They liked the STP logo from the STP can in the garage and changed it to suit. Seems to be an electrical connection connection in their names.

As to the last line, yes, it must be true if you saw it on the internet. I'm a French model by the way.

As Steve stated, the dealer we bought from gave us the same definition for XLR.
