Anyone running more than two batteries in their Thunderbolt?

As the title states, looking for anyone who has installed more than two batteries into their Thunderbolt? More specifically, where did you end up installing them? If you have pics of your setup, I wouldn't mind seeing those. Tryingt to get some ideas for expanding my boondocking capabilities. Thanks!

I'm only running two in the stock locations but I'm told the new ones have space for four in the spots ours have two. I think they go sideways now but haven't seen the new framing for them. Perhaps someone with a just built unit can take a picture of their setup and post it for you so you could try and reproduce the setup? It would be much better than loosing storage space in your basement.

Mine is a 2016 model year but is only setup for the two. I will take some measurements when I get home to see if it is possible to fit two in the same compartment side by side. It may be possible on the road side, but not curbside.

I realize yours is a 16 but this is a very recent mid year change and just happened within the last month or so. So, unless yours was built very recently, it won't have the new battery layout. Not sure if other modifications were made to accommodate the change. Perhaps Bob can expand on this and let you know if it's something you (or I) could do to our existing units?

Looking forward to seeing the setup Bob. Stan told me about it but not in real detail and he didn't take any pictures....

If you have a bit of extra height, possibly two T105 six-volt batteries would fit.

We've got plenty of height. I've got two Lifeline 6V GPL-4CT's which give me 220AH in mine. You just can't use the battery box covers but it doesn't matter because they are AGM's and don't need the vents. There is actually enough room for 6CT's (300AH) which are even taller but I didn't want the extra expense and charging time.
