Look at it straight on. The U channel should fit in the track. We have to push ours to the rear to get the channel to close. It is an 1/8 inch off. The U channel main arm just misses the flat channel that runs vertical,flat against the coach. See if it is a hair off.

Your awning fabric has moved on your roller.
Unroll awning then slide the fabric one way or the other so it rolls up like it should then put a screw threw the fabric into the roller so that it doesn't move.

Guess I spoke out of ignorance. However; mine is flat against the side of the unit with a foam strip the length of the rails that take up any minute space that there might be. Thought it was caulking.

mine is flat against the wall; top to bottom and sealed along the edges with black silicone from the factory
