Wonder if wind tried to pick up the awning and did that?

Mine is like that in the front. My two side tape released between the mounting screws. I am taking mine in to have a second a/c put in and gonna have it fixed. I don't want to slide the awning off to reattach it. I'm lazy!!!!!

That is not correctly installed. I think screws and caulking is what secures mine flat against the unit.

My 2014 Cardinal is the same as what you describe. Checked with the dealer and the other trailers on the lot were the same. When awning is extended, rails are flush against the side walls.

Actually that mounting is normal for some makes. Who is the awning manufacturer?

Both of our awnings are like that. They are very secure though. Jerry

Look at it straight on. The U channel should fit in the track. We have to push ours to the rear to get the channel to close. It is an 1/8 inch off. The U channel main arm just misses the flat channel that runs vertical, flat against the coach. See if it is a hair off.

Your awning fabric has moved on your roller.
Unroll awning then slide the fabric one way or the other so it rolls up like it should then put a screw threw the fabric into the roller so that it doesn't move.

Guess I spoke out of ignorance. However; mine is flat against the side of the unit with a foam strip the length of the rails that take up any minute space that there might be. Thought it was caulking.
